Employers

The Andrews University Career Center commits to partnering with employers. We have developed intentional opportunities for employers to engage with our talented students for recruitment, mentorship or networking in various ways:

Hire our Students

Employers may recruit students in several ways including through career fairs, posting jobs and internships on our Network or participating in on-campus networking events, resume clinics, or mock interviews.

Log-in Instructions for Employers

  • Create your user Account: Employers who do not already have a Handshake account will need to create one. If you have received an email invitation from our Career Center, use the link provided in the email to create your account. If you would like to receive an email invitation from our Career Center, email your request to career@andrews.edu. If you are signing up without an invitation use this link to create an employer account. Refer to Create an Employer User Account, Join a Company, and Connect with Schools
  • Join your existing company on Handshake or create one: In order to take any action with schools, you must first be connected to your company profile on Handshake. After you've confirmed your account, you will be prompted to select your company and request connection. If your company is already in Handshake, your company will populate as an option to select from. If it isn't, you should see the option to create a new company profile. Learn How to Create a New Company Profile.
  • Request to connect with schools: You must request and receive approval from a school prior to posting jobs or events to their students. You can choose schools during the account creation process or any time afterwards. When choosing schools, we recommend starting with only 10-20 until your company is established on Handshake. To learn how to request and add more schools at a later time, check out School Network Management.
  • Customize your profile: A well-crafted user and company profile plays a vital role in shaping your brand and building rapport and trust with our students and school partners. Put your best foot forward with a complete user and company profile.

Micro-internships

As you consider your workforce needs in the coming months, micro-internships offer an opportunity to engage Andrews students and recent graduates on short-term, professional assignments.

In addition to providing professional work experience and learning opportunities, micro-internships can also complement your campus recruiting strategy by providing an opportunity to assess students' skills and quality of work.

Andrews University has partnered with Parker Dewey to provide a seamless micro-internship process for students and employers. To learn more about hiring an Andrews University student for a micro-internship and to post opportunities, visit our Parker Dewey micro-internship page

Attend a Career Fair

Meet and interact with our students while recruiting to fill your job and internship needs through our career fairs. The University hosts several career fairs targeted to various majors and academic disciplines, which offer employers a more targeted talent pool.

Employer Information Sessions

Host an informational session on campus to share information about your organization and opportunities with a small audience of students. This option offers a more intimate connection than a career fair and allows for a targeted audience of students with interest in a particular field of study. To register for an Employer Information Session, complete our Employer Information Request form
